Pursue your career in the field of finance

Posted in Careers, Industries & Professions on 14.02.12

You should make a wise career decision when you are considering the career options that are available for you. One word of caution for you is that you should make sure that you select that profession which is compatible with your interest level. If you have decided that you want to acquire a finance degree, then you should be aware of the educational requirements that you will have to fulfill so that you can get enrolled for this program. You should also be aware of the career opportunities that this degree will offer you so that you have a clear vision about your future and you know that which jobs will be available for you after completing the degree. My child, you should not confuse the finance degree with Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree because both of them have different course curriculum and educational concentrations as well. Even though both the finance degree and MBA degree are business degrees but the degrees study different aspects of the business. Hence, a prospective student must know his/her interests before they decide whether to pursue an MBA degree or getting a degree in finance.

Cost structure of MBA programs

Posted in Higher Education on 14.02.12

It is important for almost all the people to consider the cost of anything before they make the final purchases. Likewise, when deciding about the enrollment of the degree programs, it is important that you compare the cost of the programs that are offered by various business schools and institutions. If you are thinking of whether to get enrolled in the full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program or executive MBA program, then you should do careful cost comparison so that you can select that program which is compatible with your budget. According to the CareerBuilder.com, the executive MBA program is expensive as compared to the full-time MBA. The full-time MBA program costs around $100,000 for two years at a top-ranked school and an executive MBA program costs around $58,000 for 20 months on average and this cost was disclosed by the Executive MBA Council. The full-time MBA programs can be studied abroad as well. However, executive MBA programs offer no global immersion programs because the program duration is shorter. Hence, you should do comparisons between the two programs on the basis of the cost structure.
